1. Delivery Area
Benett Atelier initially delivers to addresses within the United Kingdom.
The available destinations and delivery options will be shown during checkout.
2. Preparation Time and Delivery Time
Preparation time and delivery time are separate.
Preparation time is the period required to make, finish or prepare the product.
Delivery time begins after the completed order has been handed to the delivery provider.
Many initial pre-order products are expected to require approximately two weeks for preparation. The actual estimate will be stated on the individual product page.
More complex, personalised or made-to-order products may take longer.
3. Ready-to-Dispatch Products
Where a product is marked as ready to dispatch, we aim to send it within [NUMBER] working days after payment is confirmed.
This is an estimate unless a specific dispatch date has been expressly guaranteed.
4. Pre-Order Products
The product page will state the estimated preparation or dispatch period.
If an order contains products with different preparation times, we may:
- dispatch the order together when all items are ready; or
- offer separate delivery where available, potentially subject to an additional charge.
5. Made-to-Order and Individual Projects
The estimated completion and delivery arrangements will be agreed as part of the quotation or project confirmation.
Fittings, customer approvals, delayed responses, changes to measurements or changes to the agreed design may affect the completion date.
6. Delivery Charges
Delivery charges are calculated and displayed before the order is confirmed.
Charges may depend on:
- destination;
- parcel size;
- parcel weight;
- delivery speed;
- insurance or tracking requirements.
7. Delivery Providers
Orders may be delivered by Royal Mail or another suitable courier.
The selected provider may vary according to the product, destination, parcel value and delivery service chosen.
Tracking information will be supplied where tracking is available.
8. Delivery Estimates
Delivery dates are estimates unless we expressly agree in writing that a particular date is guaranteed.
We are not responsible for delay caused solely by the delivery provider or events outside our reasonable control, but we remain responsible for dealing appropriately with the customer and the order.
Where no different delivery period has been agreed, goods will be delivered within the period required by applicable consumer law.
9. Essential Deadlines
If delivery by a particular date is essential, for example for an event, performance or ceremony, contact us before placing the order.
Do not assume that a standard estimate guarantees arrival before an event.
We must confirm in writing whether the requested deadline can be accepted.
10. Delivery Address
The customer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.
Contact us immediately if an error is discovered.
We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after preparation or dispatch has begun.
Additional costs caused by an incorrect or incomplete address may be charged where lawful and reasonable.
11. Missed or Refused Delivery
If delivery is attempted but cannot be completed, the customer should follow the carrier’s instructions.
Where an order is returned to us because it was:
- not collected;
- refused without valid reason;
- addressed incorrectly due to information provided by the customer.
We may require payment of a reasonable redelivery charge.
This does not affect statutory cancellation or refund rights.
12. Lost Parcels
If tracking shows no delivery or the parcel appears lost, contact us promptly.
We may ask the customer to confirm details and cooperate with the carrier’s investigation.
Where the customer is a consumer, Benett Atelier remains responsible for the goods until they are received by the customer or a person identified by the customer, subject to applicable law.
13. Damaged Parcels
If a parcel arrives visibly damaged:
- take photographs before opening where possible;
- photograph the packaging and item;
- contact us promptly;
- retain the packaging until we advise otherwise.
Damage to packaging does not necessarily mean that the product itself is damaged, but photographs will help us investigate.
14. Delivery to a Safe Place or Third Party
Where the customer instructs a carrier to leave a parcel in a nominated safe place or with a particular third party, responsibility may pass when delivery is completed according to that instruction, subject to applicable law.
15. International Delivery
If international delivery is introduced, customers may be responsible for import VAT, customs duties and local handling charges unless the checkout expressly states otherwise.
International delivery and returns may take longer and cost more.
Separate information will be added before international sales are activated.
